How does one apply for a grant?
Grant applications are available through the patient's social worker or transplant coordinator or physician. 

How long has the Foundation been working?

The Foundation received its charter on February 22, 1994.

What is its principal purpose?
The Foundation provides grants to patients who have had life-saving transplant surgery in order to relieve financial burdens during their recovery time.

What sorts of things can grants apply toward?
We provide for items such as medicines, phone bills, car payments, school supplies, etc.

Is there a limit on grant money requested?
There is a limit of $500 per grant.

How long does it take for grants to become a reality?
The granting process usually can be done within 2 weeks of receipt of an application from the social worker or coordinator.

How does the Foundation get its money?
Strictly through donations. We have an annual golf tournament each Fall and the majority of our funds come from this tournament.

Is my donation tax deductible?
Yes. The Southwest Transplant Foundation is a 501c3 non-profit, so all donations are tax deductible.
